The unquestioned assumption, in broad terms, that:
- Human happiness is congruent with money, or
- The more money you have, the happier you are, or
- People get sad and despondent when they get less money
- That's why they naturally turn violent (black version).
- That's why they kill themselves (white version).

It's a fallacy because so many of the factors which affect violence and suicide are not economic factors. It's a fallacy fully embraced in more internet essays than I can be bothered to look up. The assumption at the heart of the fallacy justifies both criminal violence and criminal neglect.
