Stupidity
Stupidity is the inability or disinclination to learn. A stupid person is unable to change behavior, including internal "behaviors" such as thought, belief, and emotional response. Like ignorance, stupidity is a human universal. Unlike ignorance, stupidity is unequally distributed in the population. Everyone is stupid in his own way.
The meta-definition of stupidity is not in terms of "stupid people" but more in terms of "stupid acts", "stupid institutions", "stupid ideas". Keep in mind that this definition of stupidity remains focused on acts, institutions, or ideas etc. which specifically cause people to become resistant to learning. Jumping off a bridge may be "stupid" in the colloquial sense, but it doesn't make you stupid. Only stupid things do that.
Stupidity can result from inborn lack of intelligence, but this is comparatively rare. The most common cause of stupidity in America today is cognitive castration, which, de facto, is one of the main functions of the school system.
