In 2010, a blog called Colorado Libertarian posted these Iron Laws. They are credited to one RC Dean, a commenter at reason.com. Colorado Libertarian suggests the original Iron Laws may have been posted at samizdata.net, but the link is defunct.

RC's Iron Laws state:

  • You get more of what you reward and less of what you punish.
  • Money and power will always find each other.
  • If everything is a priority, nothing is a priority.
  • The less you know about something, the easier it looks.
  • You aren’t free unless you are free to be wrong.
  • Me today, you tomorrow.
  • Foreseeable consequences are not unintended.
